This 25mm x 38mm x 4.8m treated roofing batten is a Type A classification under BS 5534, approved for rafter spacings up to 600mm. The 4.8m length reduces the number of end joints on larger roof pitches, improving fixing efficiency and minimising waste on site, making it the practical choice for larger domestic roofs and light commercial projects where shorter lengths would result in unnecessary laps and additional fixing points. The 25mm thickness provides greater rigidity than the standard 19mm x 38mm batten while remaining within the Type A classification, making it a popular choice where a more robust batten is preferred without stepping up to a Type B specification. Calibrated spruce and pine, VAC-VAC pressure treated and ready to use straight from delivery.

Treatment and Durability

VAC-VAC (vacuum and vacuum) pressure treated to Use Class 2 (UC2), providing long-term protection against fungal decay and insect attack in covered above-ground applications. The green colouring is the recognised visual indicator of treatment on UK roofing sites.
