Galvanised masonry joist hangers for building into brickwork or blockwork, CE marked to BS EN 845-1. Single-piece or welded, for 44, 47, 50 and 75mm joists from 100mm to 250mm deep. Sold singly.
Build-in hangers are bedded into the mortar joint as the wall goes up and carry floor and ceiling joists without notching the timber. The wide top flange spreads the load over the masonry. Single-piece hangers are pressed from one sheet; welded hangers have a separately welded back plate for higher loads.
Match the hanger width to the actual joist width (47mm for standard C24 carcassing) and the depth to the joist depth; a 47 x 200mm joist takes a 47 x 200 hanger. Fix the joist through every hole with 30mm square twist nails.
