Bulk pack of 110 lengths of 47 x 100mm (4×2) C24 treated timber, each 4.2m long. Kiln dried, pressure treated and strength graded to C24, with regularised dimensions and eased edges for easy handling. Finished size is approximately 45 x 95mm. A cost-effective way to buy carcassing timber for large framing, studwork and roofing jobs.
This bulk pack contains 110 lengths of 47 x 100mm C24 treated timber, the size most builders know as 4x2. Each length is 4.2m long, giving 462 linear metres in total, enough for a large stud wall, roof or extension frame in a single delivery. The timber is kiln dried to improve stability and straightness, then high-pressure treated with Tanalith E (or similar) to protect against rot and insect attack. It is strength graded to C24 for known structural performance, and regularised by planing all round with eased corners. Regularising gives every length consistent dimensions, which makes walls and floors far easier to keep flat and true. All our softwoods are responsibly sourced.
Any cut ends, notches or drilled holes should be re-sealed with a proprietary end grain preservative to keep the treatment effective. Additional lengths may be available, so please contact us if you need something different. Need a smaller quantity? Browse our 2 inch C24 timber range to buy by the length.

The nominal size is 47 x 100mm. Because our C24 timber is regularised by planing all round, it finishes 2mm under on thickness and 5mm under on width, so the actual size is approximately 45 x 95mm. Consistent sizing makes framing quicker and keeps walls flat.
C24 is a structural strength grade for softwood timber. Each length is graded for strength and stiffness, so engineers and building control can rely on its performance in load-bearing work. C24 is stronger than the more basic C16 grade, which allows longer spans or smaller sections in some designs.

Yes, it is pressure treated for protection against rot and insect attack, so it is suitable for external framing above ground, such as sheds, garden rooms and decking subframes. It is not designed to be buried or set in the ground. For in-ground use, choose posts treated for ground contact.
Yes. Pressure treatment does not always reach the core of the timber, so any cut, notch or drilled hole exposes less protected wood. Brush a proprietary end grain preservative onto every cut surface, especially on timber used outdoors.
A full pack of 110 lengths is large and heavy, so it needs clear vehicle access and a flat, suitable space to unload. Give us a call before ordering and we will talk through access and the best drop-off point for your site.
